About the Iconographer

Aristidis Kovaci is from Pirgos Ilias, Greece, and studied in the School of Byzantine Music and Art at Holy Metropolis Ilias. He worked alongside master Iconographers on many church projects all over the Peloponnese area of Greece.  Since 2004 he has been working in the field of traditional  byzantine icon painting, both portable icons and church murals. In 2012 Aristidis moved to Atlanta, GA, where continued working as an Iconographer.  In 2019 he moved to Jacksonville Florida where he open a permanent studio.  His works are in churches, monasteries as well as in private collections in Greece and abroad, and have been displayed in private and group exhibitions. His work in numerous churches in Greece and in the southeast US.
